Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day, Colombia! July is a festive month in our family now that we need to celebrate Independence Day for two countries instead of just one. We also happened to meet Juan David and his sister six years ago today. Celebrating later with arequipe sundaes and a little Colombiana to drink. :) David's off on a five day mission trip at Mission Arlington, so it's just us and Juan David.

As the sun rises and opens my eyes,

Rise, My child, though your body screams for rest,

Rest in My arms, child, and you will be blessed.

Though the clock says you need one hour more,

I'll give you strength so you can soar.

Rise, My child, you've everything to gain,

The strength you fear losing, My strength can sustain.

Rise, My child, I long for you.

Only at sunrise can you see My beautiful view!
